Kelly and Jordan, the nerdiest, coolest, classiest couple, threw one hell of a party disguised as a wedding, and Bonnie Photo had the absolute privilege of capturing it all. From their chill engagement session at Lair o The Bear Park to a wild dancefloor in Littleton, let’s talk about how they made this day a beautiful, bold, bubble-filled celebration.
First things first, let’s go back to that September when we started with some drinks in and then went to Lair o The Bear Park in Morrison. These two love birds are the kind of couple that anyone would instantly want to be friends with. The vibe was chill, the scenery was peak Colorado beauty, and we captured their love in some truly epic and fun photos. I swear these two couldn’t stop smiling and giggling—true love goals.
Fast forward to the big day. Kelly and Jordan got ready together at their house, surrounded by their cats. Yeah, no old-fashioned “don’t see the bride before the wedding” here. They were doing their thing, cracking jokes, drinking mimosas, and basically being the best roommates ever before officially making it legal. Seriously, your wedding is a day for your personalities and preferences to shine through, not for following stuffy old traditions you’re not really a fan of.
The spoopy nerd in me absolutely loved their custom wedding details.
Before we headed to the venue, they snuck in a private first look right in their own neighborhood. Now, I don’t care how tough you think you are, Jordan’s face when he turned around and saw Kelly would’ve melted your heart. Full-on tears. Check out this adorableness:
At Ashley Ridge by Wedgewood Weddings in Littleton, things got REAL. Kelly and Jordan’s ceremony was a perfect mix of heartfelt vows and belly laughs. Oh, and let’s not forget the MVP of the wedding—their bridesman who served as the flower man. This guy strutted down the aisle, yeeting flowers from his shiny fanny pack. Everyone lost it. That’s the energy you want at a wedding.
During their ceremony they had a special chocolate and wine tasting from custom goblets.
Kelly and Jordan did something else unique: have their wedding party sign the back of their marriage license. Did you know that in Colorado you can do that, you can have your dog “sign” your license, and you don’t need an offiiciant? One of the reasons our beautiful state attracts so many weddings, especially elopements.
After the “I Do’s” came the real fun. These two have been swing dancers for years. And it showed… THEY KILLED IT. The whole room couldn’t keep their eyes off them. Then the party got even wilder as everyone jumped in and turned that dancefloor into an awesome party. They had some moves, too: very obviously folks who all dance together.
Tearjerker alert. During an anniversary dance the DJ dismisses couples from the dancefloor in order of how long they’ve been together. They start with something like “couples who have been married for less than 4 hours leave the dance floor”, then one year, two, five, ten, etc. Kelly’s grandparents were the last couple standing. Kelly totally caught her grandma off-guard by handing over her bridal bouquet at the end of the song. Let me tell you, this sweet-as-heck moment had me holding back a few (dozen) tears behind the camera. Kelly’s grandma? Beyond touched. One of the most adorable things I have ever seen.
We snuck outside at sunset for some portraits. And not just any portraits—bubble-filled portraits! Their friends helped out with some bubble guns and made the whole scene feel like a fairytale. With the sky glowing orange and pink behind them, we captured some seriously magical, dreamy shots. Isn’t this the dreamiest cuteness you’ve ever seen?
