Lucy and Jeremy—what a pair of legends! Months before their epic winter wedding at Rembrandt Yard in Boulder, we had a blast with their engagement session. We started out near their place in Boulder with their adorable corgi, Darby, then took a wild ride up to Rocky Mountain National Park. And oh, Trail Ridge Road? It’s the highest contiguous paved road in the country, and it was built during the Great Depression. This historic road is a marvel of engineering, offering breathtaking views and some seriously epic photo ops. How lucky are we to live somewhere where the tundra is only 2 hours away?
One of our favorite types of portrait? Astrophotography. We use camera and lighting secrets to get you and the Milky Way all in the same shot! One take. At the top of the Rocky Mountains is the perfect spot for this.
So, let’s dive into their wedding day. Rembrandt Yard was the perfect backdrop for their event, merging classy vibes with an artistic twist. Jeremy’s poker crew was out in force, adding a bit of high-stakes fun to the mix. And let’s not forget his musical talents—this guy’s not just a poker pro but also a string instrument aficionado. Naturally, they had a string quartet playing during the ceremony and cocktail hour, a nod to how they first crossed paths in a musicians’ club. The first sign this wedding was going to be amazing: Darby the corgi helping his dad get ready. What a good boy.
This classy Boulder wedding venue has such great lighting. It makes photographing getting ready so easy. Lucy had one of the most unique boho wedding dresses I’ve ever seen.
Their private first look was adorable as heck. I love how “them” this moment was.
Darby the corgi strutted down the aisle as the ringbearer, flanked by the flower girl. And their officiant? None other than their eccentric friend Bill, who’s got quite the colorful past. This guy once ran a tax-shelter “church” in the 70s and 80s and was performing weddings for LGBT couples before it was even legal. His offbeat charm made the ceremony even more memorable.

The dance floor? The kids were a riot, and the adults joined in without missing a beat. We even sneaked out for some nighttime portraits on Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall, capturing Lucy and Jeremy under the twinkling lights of Boulder.
Lucy and Jeremy’s wedding was a perfect mix of class, fun, and a whole lot of personality—just like their love story. Here’s to a future filled with epic adventures, killer music, and, of course, endless corgi cuddles!
