Courtney and Dean’s Winter Wonderland Wedding: Snow, Style, and a Touch of History

February 2, 2022

Courtney and Dean, now basking in California sunshine, decided to return to Colorado’s wintry magic for their wedding. Their February celebration at Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park was a snow-covered dream, complete with beautiful florals and a ceremony that felt like a big, warm hug—minus the actual warmth, because it was freezing!

This Rocky Mountain wedding venue has such great spaces for getting ready. And how stunning did Courtney look all glammed up in the snow?

I love any special private moments before wedding ceremonies. From first look with dad, to first touch, first look, or even private vows. This day included both Courtney’s first look with her dad and a private first touch for the couple. Talon is a preacher so their private first touch and prayer before the ceremony carried extra weight.

The ceremony was gorgeous and grand in Della Terra’s huge ceremony space with so many windows. The look on Talon’s face as Courtney glided down the aisle was priceless, a moment that definitely brought a tear or two.

The winter vibes were in full swing, with decor that looked like it was plucked straight from a snow globe. They served Voodoo Doughnuts during cocktail hour which is always a solid choice.

Next up was the Historic Park Theater, a venue that’s an important piece of Estes Park history. This old-school gem, dating back to the early 1900s, added a dash of vintage glam to the night. Dinner and dancing were held in style, with guests enjoying a setting that felt both intimate and grand. They had 101 Dalmations playing on the screen for the kids. So sweet.

The theater was such a cool place to have some fun with glow sticks!

We braved -10 degrees to get some perfect snowy shots, because if you’re going to freeze your butt off, you might as well make it count, right?

To cap off the night, we headed to the Stanley Hotel. You know, the place that inspired The Shining? It’s got history, elegance, and a hint of ghostly charm. We snagged some seriously sophisticated portraits at the golden bar, proving that you can look classy even when it’s freezing outside.

Courtney and Dean’s wedding was the perfect mix of Colorado cool with a sprinkle of historic badassery. Here’s to a couple who nailed every aspect of their big day, from the snowy splendor to the vintage vibes.
