Kelly and Grant’s June wedding in Evergreen, Colorado was perfect. They had all the details planned so well, and went with the flow when it started raining at the end of their ceremony. Their reception was so fun for everyone (us photographers included)!
When Kelly, Grant first met with Mike and I last year, they opted for a winter engagement session, hoping for snow and contrast to their summer wedding. We got lucky and their engagement session fell on the snowiest day of the fall!
When Mike and I visited their wedding venue with this this spring, we were blown away by the beauty of it! You take a windy mountain road to get to the Barn in Evergreen, and the drive is so worth it! The farm next door has bison and yak!
The Barn at Evergreen has a gorgeous upstairs space with stained glass. This worked out so well for some portraits before the ceremony.
I love working with Mike on weddings, not just because we’re engaged and work well together, but because he’s such a good photographer! Two of my favorite Mike shots from this wedding were of the ring bearer and flower girl. The ring bearer got stuck halfway down the aisle. Too cute.
Grooms seeing their partner for the first time on their wedding day as they walk down the aisle is one of my favorite things ever. Such pure love and amazement, and Grant was no exception.
Almost at the end of the ceremony, it started to rain! By Kelly, Grant, and all of their guests didn’t let that stop them or ruin the mood!

We all got lucky and the bad part of the storm only hit after everyone was indoors.
The storm cleared up quickly and left time for some intense games!
The lighting was perfectly dreamy for Kelly and Grant’s first dance!
This extended family really knew how to party! Kelly’s Grandma ended up being the life of the party!!!
Such a special day for such a wonderful couple. I loved seeing how happy Kelly and Grant were together on their wedding day, despite the stormy weather!
