2019 has been a year of great growth for Bonnie Photo and we expect even more from 2020! To celebrate the year’s end and pending New Year, we’re looking back at some of our favorite photographs and clients.
First off: our weddings. We had the pleasure of working with 10 fantastic couples in 2019, creating stunning engagement portraits and capturing their weddings.
Stephanie & Rene
Stephanie & Rene have a storied history together, and are also one of the most fun couples I have ever worked with. They got married at the Lumber Baron in Denver, CO in February at an intimate, totally unique ceremony.
Kelly & Grant
I met Kelly and Grant over one year ago, and soon after we did an awesome engagement session in the snow with their lovely dog Bella.
Kelly and Grant got married in June at the Barn in Evergreen, CO. The little bit of rain they got at the end of their ceremony made the whole event more emotional and vibrant.
Michelle & Trey
Michelle & Trey had a very special member of their wedding ceremony: their son Jack. He is the cutest toddler around and made their ceremony so special. Michelle & Trey got married at the Greenbriar Inn in Boulder, CO in June.
Shellye & Don
Shellye & Don’s wedding wasn’t just about connecting two people, it was about connecting two families. Both of their teenage daughters were part of their ceremony at the Columbine Spiritual Center in Boulder, CO. Even though it rained for most of their June wedding, Shellye & Don were gorgeous and totally in love, nothing else mattered!
Scott & Josh
Scott and I connected through a mutual work friend. Scott, Josh, and their little Yorkie, Spartacus were such a joy to work with on their engagement session, we knew their wedding would be a blast.
In June, Scott & Josh got married up in Crested Butte, CO at the Wedding Garden. The beauty of this town and venue absolutely blew us away! Plus, their friends know how to PARTY.
Jennifer & Sterling
Jennifer had a pretty big ask for their engagement session: would I be willing to get in a little boat with all my gear? I decided that (with insurance) it was worth the risk and I was right! Their engagement session at Chatfield Reservoir was one for the books!
Jennifer & Sterling got married in August in Sterling’s sister’s backyard. I have a newfound love for backyard weddings! So intimate and relaxed!
Jessica & Sam
Jessica & Sam revisited some of their first dates for their engagement session, which included riding their tandem bike and tacos!
Jessica & Sam got married at the Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield in September. Their wedding was picture perfect: the weather cooperated, the light was gorgeous, and the venue rocked.
Vicky & Michael
I could tell as soon as I met Vicky & Michael that they were madly, head-over-heels in love with each other. They got married at 2 Penguins in Centennial, CO in September. Their ceremony was emotional, with just the right amount of silly, and their party was fantastic!
Cory & Rob
Cory contacted me with a very interesting plan: he was throwing a surprise elopement for his long-time partner, Rob. Rob thought they were just making an autumn trip to the Grand Canyon, with one night in Denver on the way. In reality, they got married in a small ceremony with family at the Lumber Baron in Denver, CO, and then continued on to the Grand Canyon!
James & Lorna
This last wedding of the year was an extremely special one. James is my cousin, and Lorna is the smartest, funniest, and most beautiful person I know. Lorna is from Kenya, so they decided to have their wedding ceremony in Nairobi for her family. I practically begged them to let Mike and I photograph their wedding. Since we got married the month before, this trip was part of our own honeymoon (the rest being in Mauritius, after Kenya). Our trip and their wedding were breathtaking and the best experience ever. We learned so much and saw so many beautiful cousins. Plus, now we have cousins in Kenya to go visit, hopefully soon and often!
James & Lorna got married at Zereniti Gardens in Nairobi, Kenya in November.
That wraps up a fun and gorgeous year of weddings for Bonnie Photo! Here’s to many more in 2020! Congratulations again to all our gorgeous couples, and Happy New Year!
